1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can remember something about you across page loads. We keep cookie usage to the absolute minimum.
2. The Cookie We Set
SQuEN sets exactly one functional cookie, squen_cookie_consent, to store your consent choice from our cookie banner. When you click Accept or Decline, your choice is recorded so the banner does not reappear on your next visit.
- Name: squen_cookie_consent
- Purpose: Remember your cookie consent preference (functional / essential).
- Values: accepted or declined.
- Lifespan: 365 days, after which the banner reappears so you can choose again.
- Shared: No. It is not read or set by any third party and carries no personal data.
We do not use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking, cross-site tracking or analytics cookies.
3. Local Storage
Your in-progress assessment is held in your browser's local storage (a similar but longer-lived storage technology) so you can recover it on the same device. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings; doing so may reset an assessment you have not yet finished.
4. Third-Party Services
Some tools we rely on may place their own small data files on your device: hCaptcha may store data as part of its bot-protection checks on the assessment form, and email services may use open-tracking technology in emails we send you. These are outside our control and are governed by the privacy policies of those providers.
5. Managing Your Preferences
You can change your mind at any time. Clicking Decline does not limit how the site works — we simply stop asking. You can also remove the consent cookie from your browser settings, after which the banner will appear again.
Your current choice: no choice recorded yet.
